Meraki Montessori: The Secondary School Experience (12-15 year olds)

Adolescence is a critical age for searching for identity, community, and justice. Our secondary school program is a commitment to helping students discover themselves and engage actively in the wider world. We continue to use Montessori principles to support this transition, fostering a community where students work together to plan, resolve conflict, and lead.
We confidently balance the individual’s need for self-directed inquiry with the robust standards of the New Zealand Curriculum in all planning and assessment. Students put English, science, social science, and maths to practical use through hands-on projects and performances. Instruction is specifically designed to inspire interest, cover fundamentals, and facilitate deeper learning.
