I was born and brought up in Tauranga and moved to Auckland to commence my university adventure and I am now living with my partner Willis and another couple, who happen to be two of our best friends in Northcote. My Partner has nearly finished his Engineering degree at Massey University and is also from Tauranga so we enjoy going back home to see the family together.
I come from a small family with myself being an only child but have a large extended family and plenty of friends to make up for it. I am very close with my Mum and Dad and often visit them in Tauranga during the weekends or holidays.
I am a keen volleyball player having played for New Zealand teams in both indoor and beach volleyball at age group level. I was recently selected for the NZ Women’s Indoor Volleyball Team and we are travelling to the Philippines this year to compete in the Asian Championships.
I love learning about the environment as I am an outdoorsy person and love to travel and experience different cultures and take part in new adventures. I love learning about the human body as well in relation to health and sport and take a personal interest in human nutrition. Most of all I take an interest in children and understanding how they develop and grow into peaceful and happy people of today’s society. The specific theory and philosophy that Montessori offers intrigues me and resonates with how I wish to see the world. I am thrilled to be a part of the Meraki Montessori community and can’t wait to see the adventures we take on together.
